Wild Grandmothers

Talk about wild grandmothers! Here are depicted 4 of Jesus’ grandmothers - some had affairs, some were prostitutes. Some lied and not one of them was a starry eyed perfect princess.

These four women:

Tamar (happens to be a twin mama - Gen. 28),

Rahab (Joshua 2)

Ruth (The book of Ruth aka The first ever Hallmark movie )

Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11:3) all have something in common. These four women felt like outsiders, like has-beens, like never-beens. They were women who were weary of:

-being taken advantage of

-of being unnoticed

-uncherished and

-unappreciated.

Maybe this is you today. Maybe you feel the same.

These women didn’t fit in, didn’t know how to keep going or what to believe, where to go. Women who thought about giving up. And yet Jesus claims exactly these women. Wandering, wondering, wounded, worn out...and His. God used them in mighty ways!!!!!

He CHOSE them... these four broken women. That’s why they have crowns. They are a symbol of scandalous #grace and #love from our Creator and Redeemer.

Head up friend.

Please know: God wants YOU. Just as you are.

He grafts you into His line, His story and His heart.

He gives you His name, His lineage, and His righteousness.

Rest in Him.
